Inspiration. Narnia. Culture. Arts. Apologetics.

Apologist and storyteller Dale Fincher is a national teacher and speaker, addressing thousands of high school and college students every year with his wife and their non-profit organization which they co-founded in 2005, Soulation (www.soulation.org).

Formerly a writer and speaker on the itinerant apologetics team of Ravi Zacharias (rzim.org), Dale is uniquely gifted in imaging the Christian worldview. Some have noted the style and approach of Dale's presentation is akin to the way Jesus taught - using "narrative apologetics" — telling stories, coupled with argument, to open the heart and challenge the mind.

Dale began this kind of work informally fifteen years ago, with a passion toward helping others see God, starting with teaching children and teens in summer camp settings.

He's been on the road "professionally" for the last eight years. Dale's journey took him through a theatre program where he gained the necessary tools to engage a culture that thinks with its eyes. After earning a Masters in the performing arts, Dale worked at a theatre in Vancouver, BC, before attending Talbot School of Theology to earn his second Masters in philosophy of religion and ethics. By invitation, Dale continues to speak at universities, public and private high schools, churches, libraries, and conferences in the United States and in various parts of the world, including Singapore, Peru, and the United Kingdom. Some noted invitations include Wheaton College, Biola University, Azusa Pacific University, Grace College, University of Colorado, The Wilberforce Center for Colorado Statesmanship, and featured speaker at the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) Annual Convention.

Dale's apologetic style creatively mixes story, philosophy, theology, and popular trends to engage and challenge the postmodern culture. He has the ability to equip Christians with clarity on the confusions of the culture as well as cover apologetic themes that are reasonable, livable, and practical. Among his many talks, some titles include, "What's So Great About the Good News?", "Saving Your Village from the Dragon", "When Philosophy Leads to the Wrong Conclusion," and "Who is Jesus? Four Claims Unparalleled in History." His various talents also include performing and articulating meanings and metaphors in the many writings of C. S. Lewis.

Dale is working on an apologetics book for students to be released by Zondervan's Youth Specialties in 2007.

His wife, Jonalyn, often travels and co-teaches with him as a husband/wife team of Soulation (soulation.org). They live in Los Angeles and share their home with their lively Welch Corgis — Lady Lucia, Lady Victoria, and Lady Jane.
