You've heard Dale and Jonalyn speak. You've read their articles. You've experience the larger culture of Soulation online. You've grown more appropriately human. Now imagine taking your experience a step further and joining Dale and Jonalyn in a place where ideas, imagination, conversation, acceptance, free time and community all converge as you are pampered in fine food and top-class accommodation in the impeccable Rocky Mountains.

Now you're glimpsing a Soulation Gathering.

Each year, Dale and Jonalyn host no more than a dozen spiritual explorers at each Gathering who want more in their walk with Jesus. This is more than a "retreat." This is immersion in a deeper Christian experience, with one foot in nature and the other foot in the city. This is conversation with real questions and sturdy answers. This is authentic life to inspire you, take home with you, and to share as a beacon in your community. Expect to taste the qualities of good human life as God intended.

The dates for Soulation Gatherings:

WHITE Gathering - March 27-31, 2013 "Love's Many Faces"

This will be the last Soulation Gathering that is fully subsidized by Soulation. Don't miss it! Love comes to us in many ways, from friendship to romance to family ties. But what does Love do to us, how does it shape us, and how do we live it out in unhealthy families, toxic friendships and broken communities? Come explore how love wanders into the caves of our souls to make us more fully human and how we can best share it with others in a healthy way. Fully subsidized. Application Closed.

COUPLES Gathering, July 3-7, 2013 "Public and Private Lives"

Married life is lived privately within our homes and publicly in our community. Marriages are about more than love and sex, but they are certainly not less. Join us to discover the ways our individual and combined gifts ripple out from private to public waters. We will explore how our partnership in marriage is not just for each other but is visionary for changing our communities. While Dale and Jonalyn Fincher bring an egalitarian perspective to marriage, we hope any couple open to dialog will bring their perspective and join us in talking about the powerful ways husband and wives build the kingdom of God. $600/person. $199 with scholarship. Application Closed.

GREEN Gathering, July 24-28, 2013 "Fully Free and Fully Alive after Spiritual Abuse"

This gathering is for those who have experience the pains of spiritual abuse in their lives. Often the spiritual abused know they are capable of being more fully alive. Spiritual abuse can make us feel crazy and alone, even as we hunt for truth and freedom. We will tell our stories of spiritual abuse, the seeds of spiritual abuse, and how we're growing in the aftermath. We are not alone, and most of our experiences are universal. Come revel in the good life and freedom God has given us as we explore how we can be an advocate for the spiritually abused in the future. $600/person. $199/person with scholarship. Application Closed.

GOLD Gathering, Sept 25-29, 2013 "What is the Church?: Identity Beyond Sunday Morning"

From the early days of house gatherings, to the formal high churches of Eastern, Orthodox and Catholic, we know the word "church" brings something specific to mind. And yet, what does "church" mean and how do we understand ourselves in that ancient community? We will explore the meaning of this community, the place of authority, gifts, sacraments and dip into the Biblical streams that Christian and Jewish thought have brought to us. $600/person. Apply here. $199 with scholarship. Deadline for GOLD applications: July 1st. Scholarship application available here.

You must apply to attend a Gathering. No more than 10 attendees are accepted for each Gathering. If you are married and believe this would also interest your spouse, they may apply as well. Application Deadlines: July 1 for GOLD 2013. After review of their application, applicants are accepted on a first come first accepted basis.

Cost of retreat will cover all lodging and one gourmet meal each day. You will cover travel arrangements to Steamboat and additional meals separately.

"Words truly fail to adequately describe the time of beauty we experienced together. Strangers from across the country quickly united in the glorious setting of autumn in Steamboat Springs."

"Our time was well balanced enjoying the amazing surroundings outside through breath-taking hikes, formal seminar sessions, scheduled time to be together over delicious meals, space to hang out with new friends casually, time to process and refresh alone, work around the chalet and Fincher cottage, and practicing the joys of leisure and Sabbath."

"What a relief to find like-minded hungry souls to commune with, laugh with, cry with, and be “me” with! What a gift to have the permission to just be me."

"Dale’s talk on the value and meaning of work (and the time of working the soil that followed) – I loved how Dale reminded us that God gave Adam purpose when He put him in the Garden. I was impressed with how well we all worked together as a group, how much we were able to accomplish in a short time period, and how much fun we had doing it!"

"I loved the time of immersion in beauty, truth and goodness. The beauty of the Colorado Rockies with the aspens in brilliant fall color, of music, poetry and story; conversation that went deep fast, and stayed there; wonderful food (I think that trout was the best fish I have ever eaten in my life!) – all were constant reminders of God’s goodness."

"The Soulation Retreat was the most profound thing I have ever experienced."

"Through the course of the Gathering, not only did I see Christ in a new and magnificent light but I also saw myself, my soul; and a new picture of who Christ made me to be."

"The types of people that want to attend this type of gathering seem to be genuinely seeking transformation in their lives and souls. It was amazing to sit with people so reflective and introspective. While I love my usual group of friends, this group of people was something entirely different. Dale and Jonalyn did such an excellent job of truly letting the spirit lead to put this group together. Each person brought a new perspective and insight worth considering."
