Corsets and Ties

The Biola University Coalition for Social Action invited us to speak on gender and justice in 2010. Because our son, Finn, was nearly born, we could not accept the invitation. Instead, we created this video for the event. Part of the video was lost due to power failure, but we salvaged most of it as you'll see below. This video outlines some myths we prescribe to the different genders. We use the metaphor of "corsets" for women and "ties" for men as images of how we restrict each other from walking into God's will and full potential simply by assigning cultural stereotypes of what men and women are "supposed" to be.

Later in 2010, we finally made it to Biola and delivered our talk to a standing-room only auditorium.
